Daily Affirmation 1053.

splend-aros:

If you feel like you don’t have a gender because you don’t feel romantic attraction, that’s cool. Your gender can be tied up with your aromanticism, and that’s not weird or wrong.

I am pretty sure this is not how genders work. Genders have nothing to do with any kind of attraction, and definitely have nothing to do at all with romanticism. Romanticism is stile from the middle of 19th century with full moons, midnights, cemeteries, extreme emotions and vampires occasionally. While gender is set of characteristics what society identifies with being woman or being a man, which are of course not just only the two categories with nothing in between, rather just the two ends of a spectrum. So, that you don’t feel so strong lust towards an other person that you would do silly things just to fulfill your desire, that does not mean you have your own category of gender.
